Privacy Policy — MenoMap

MenoMap
Effective date: October 1, 2026

1. The short version

MenoMap has no account and no login. Everything you log (surges, check-ins, medications, cycle notes, appointments, experiments and your questions) is stored only on your iPhone. We never receive it.

MenoMap has no ads and no analytics tools, and never asks for permission to track you.

If you connect Apple Health, MenoMap reads only the data types you allow and writes back only the surges and bleeding you log in MenoMap. Health data never leaves your iPhone through MenoMap.

Purchases are processed by Apple and recorded by RevenueCat under a random, anonymous ID so MenoMap Pro can be restored. RevenueCat never receives any health data.

2. Information stored on your device

Your surges, evening check-ins, tags, medications and dose history, cycle notes, appointments, questions, experiments and settings are stored in MenoMap's private storage on your iPhone. They are included in your normal encrypted iPhone backup, which Apple manages under your Apple Account (for example iCloud Backup, if you turned it on). MenoMap itself does not store anything in iCloud and does not send your data to us or to anyone else.

The MenoMap widgets, the Lock Screen and Control Center buttons, and the Live Activities for a running surge and Night Watch receive only what they display: whether a surge is running, today's count, the next appointment and similar summaries.

Deleting all data in the app (You › What's stored and where › Delete all data) or deleting the app removes it from your iPhone, subject to backups you control through Apple.

3

3. Apple Health

Connecting Apple Health is optional. If you connect it, MenoMap asks for permission for each data type, and you can change those permissions at any time in the Health app.

  • Read: hot flashes, night sweats, sleep, other menopause-related symptoms (such as sleep changes, mood changes, fatigue, headache, palpitations and vaginal dryness), periods and spotting, sleeping wrist temperature and, on iOS 27, your menopause stage and any bleeding after menopause you've recorded, only for the types you allow. MenoMap uses them to show your history from day one and to display them next to your own entries.
  • Write: the hot flashes and night sweats you log in MenoMap, and the periods, spotting and bleeding you log in MenoMap's Cycle screen.

Data from Apple Health is never used for advertising or marketing, never shared with third parties, and never leaves your iPhone through MenoMap. Data you write to Health is managed by Apple Health; deleting MenoMap's data does not remove it from Health, and you can delete it in the Health app.

4

4. Apple Watch and Messages

The MenoMap Apple Watch app sends the surges you log on your watch to MenoMap on your paired iPhone, directly between your own devices. The watch does not send data anywhere else.

The MenoMap stickers and heads-up cards in Messages are drawn on your iPhone. A message is sent only when you send it, through Apple's Messages app.

5

5. Share cards, clinician notes and exports

Share cards, story videos, the clinician notes PDF and the data export (a JSON file) are created on your iPhone. They leave your iPhone only if you choose to share, print or save them, and then through the app you pick (for example Mail, Messages or AirDrop). Share cards show summary numbers, never your notes or medications. Once you send something, the recipient's service and privacy terms apply.

6

6. Purchases and subscriptions

MenoMap Pro and the Visit Report are sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, email address or payment details.

MenoMap uses RevenueCat, a subscription service, to record purchases under a random, anonymous app user ID. RevenueCat receives your purchase history (products, prices, dates and renewal status) and, if you reached MenoMap through an Apple Search Ads ad, an anonymous attribution token from Apple so we can count which ads led to purchases. It never receives health data, and none of this is linked to your identity or used to track you. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Clinic and friend codes are App Store offer codes. Apple handles the redemption; we see only how many times each code was used, not who used it.

7

7. Data we "collect" (App Store privacy disclosure)

As shown on MenoMap's App Store privacy label, the only data that leaves your iPhone is:

  • Purchases (purchase history): not linked to you, not used for tracking. Used for app functionality and to measure purchases.
  • Identifiers (an anonymous app user ID): not linked to you, not used for tracking. Used for app functionality.

Your health data is not "collected" in the App Store's sense, because it never leaves your device through MenoMap.

8

8. What we don't do

  • No ads, on any plan.
  • No analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.
  • No tracking across other companies' apps or websites, and no data brokers.
  • No selling or sharing of any data.
  • No AI services: the question box in Learn matches your question to MenoMap's own articles on your iPhone.
  • No health data on our servers. We don't operate any server that stores user data.

Because your health information stays on your device, GW Labs does not collect, share or sell consumer health data.

9

9. Notifications

Reminders (the evening check-in, medication reminders, Night Watch, the Sunday Weekly Wrap and the monthly Heat Report) are scheduled on your iPhone as local notifications. They are not sent from a server, and you can turn each one off in MenoMap or in iOS Settings.

10

10. Feedback

If you tap "Send feedback", MenoMap opens your email app with a message to support@gwlabs.app and the app version in the subject. Nothing is attached automatically. We use your email only to reply, and delete support emails when they're no longer needed.

11

11. Children's privacy

MenoMap is made for adults and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly receive personal information from anyone, including children.

12

12. Your choices and rights

  • Export: You › What's stored and where › Export all my data (JSON), free on every plan.
  • Delete: You › What's stored and where › Delete all data, or delete the app.
  • Apple Health: change or remove MenoMap's access in the Health app at any time.
  • Subscriptions: manage or cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or state privacy laws in the US), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal data. Because we don't hold your MenoMap data, you can exercise most of these directly in the app. For anything else, including purchase records held by RevenueCat, email support@gwlabs.app.

13

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date. If a change affects how your data is handled, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect.
